Broken,
barren,
stranded in a wilderness you didn’t choose…
this is precisely where God forged His greatest warriors.
This is where men become men of God — in the fire, under pressure, through trial.
Some of you reading this feel cut off, confused, and without purpose.
Some feel you’ve strayed from your calling or become stranded, wrestling to make sense of your struggles.
But I want you to know something you may have forgotten:
This is not the end
this is the process.
This is where you are forged.
This is where God prepares you for what’s to come.
The Patriarchs Endured This Too
Consider Moses in the wilderness, Jacob wrestling with God through the night,
Job sitting in ashes,
or David hiding in caves.
Every great man God used was first forced into barren places into the wilderness to be stripped down to pure reliance upon Him.
Abraham called to leave everything he knew.
Joseph thrown into a pit, then a dungeon, before becoming a ruler.
Moses 40 years a prince, then 40 years a fugitive, then 40 years a leader.
David anointed by God and yet forced to live under threat, misunderstood, and hunted.
This is not punishment; this is preparation.
This is God’s way of refining us, cutting away what is weak, strengthening what is strong, until we become men after His own heart.
Learn to Dance in the Storm
We must learn to appreciate both the sunshine and the thunderstorm!
We must learn to lift our hands in the rain, to say:
“Though He slays me, yet I will trust Him” (Job 13:15).
This is biblical masculinity.
It’s forged in
discipline
physical,
mental, and
spiritual.
It’s forged by choosing God’s will over our own over ease, over temptation, over cowardice.
Submission to His will isn’t a choice it’s the path.
We are secondary but in His will, we become more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Desired Change Is Not Enough...
We Must Labor
Don’t be deceived: desire without discipline is weakness.
Every man I know who fell away fell first because discipline fell away.
This is a battle a wrestling match against principalities and powers (Ephesian 6:12).
We must strive, train, pursue, suffer, and grow.
We must crucify the flesh daily
(1 Cor 15:31)
in order to become the kind of men God can trust with greater responsibilities.

CRUSH THE HEAD
At the moment of greatest agony, when even Jesus asked for the cup to pass from Him,
He chose submission instead
(Luke 22:42).
He chose to drink the cup in full to destroy death to redeem us.
He cried “It is finished”
(John 19:30)
and by His death, He crushed the serpent’s head (Genesis 3:15).
Therefore, we do not serve a weak Messiah.
We serve a risen Lord, a conquering King, a Champion of our Faith.
He defeated death itself.
He triumphed over the principalities and powers and He promises we will do the same in Him.
